Plage Centrale is located opposite Espace Méditerranée.
To make the sea accessible to all, the beach is equipped with a number 3 lifeguard station during the summer months.
The station is adapted for people with reduced mobility, with a shower and changing rooms, a treadmill and a tiralo for access to the water.
It is also equipped with a defibrillator.

Swimming is supervised from 1 to 28 May at weekends and on public holidays; and from 29 May to 28 September, every day from 10.30am to 6.30pm.

The central beach of Banyuls sur Mer is located on the Avenue de la République in the centre of the seaside resort, close to the port (on the left-hand side). This large beach is approximately 350 metres long.
Supervision from 20 June to 06 September 2026 from 10.30am to 6.30pm. Accessible to PRMs during the surveillance period. Access ramp to the sea.

The central Agora beach is supervised from 31 May to 21 September from 11am to 6pm and from 11am to 6.30pm in July and August.
It has been awarded the "Handiplage" (disabled beach) label - a tiralo is available on request from the lifeguards during the opening hours of the lifeguard station. There is access from the car park and a ramp to the lifeguard station.
The first-aid post is also equipped with a defibrillator.

Facilities : PRM car park (6), path stopping as close as possible to the water's edge with assistance, two-way traffic flow, adapted WC on the same level, Tiralo (1), Manual wheelchair, Electric wheelchair. The first-aid post is open from 1 May to 5 October. Swimming is supervised by municipal lifeguards. Possibility of assistance with transfers, getting in and out of the water.
