Since the death of her mother 12 years ago, Julie lives alone with her father, Julien. 20 years old, and in love, she prepares to leave the paternal nest to live with the new man of her life. But her father is not ready to let a stranger, and clearly one with dastardly intentions, snatch his daughter from him. So Julie offers to organise a dinner to introduce her lover and let her father get to know her friend.
In writing this "ordinary day", Eric Assous created a lavish work for the immense actor that is Alain Delon. Like a mirror with three sides, the play lets us see at the same time the legendary actor and his character, while constantly rewarding us with moving reflections of the man.
Anouchka, his daughter, plays his daughter and with accuracy and confounding naturalness which shows a talent to meet her famous father's ambition: of making the Delon's a dynasty of actors, is not a vain hope but clearly evident!
In the course of the play, while we are often surprised that the "Sacred Monster" can make us laugh so easily, we oscillate constantly between laughter and tears.
Little by little the characters of Julien and Julie disappear to become Delon and his daughter Anouchka; the scenario seems to step aside to be replaced by the real life in which we are the witnesses. And when at the end the famous actor pushes the young actress forward to take the applause, we cannot but help see an Alain Delon ready to let Anouchka fly with her own wings.
